We have put together a list of our top tips to help you make the most of this wonderful month.

Chit Seed Potatoes:

This simply means – get them to sprout. Place on a tray (we have egg trays which are ideal!) with the end which has the most eyes uppermost. Keep in a cool, frost free area with moderate light (avoid direct sunlight)

Winter Flowering Heathers:

Trim winter flowering heathers once the flowers fade. Shears are a good tool for this job and it stops the plants becoming ‘leggy’

Outdoor TLC:

Clean paths, patios and paving etc. This time of year there is a build up of algae, lichens, liverworts and moss which do not damage hard surfaces but can be unsightly and hazardous.
